K tomu nepoužívejte spoušť. Většinu podmínek, které jste zakódovali do vnořených IF (spouštěče), lze pravděpodobně provést pomocí omezení cizího klíče a kontrolních omezení. Také nemusíte nikde ukládat 'X' pro WOMAN_ACT, protože je to "odvozená hodnota", tj. můžete ji získat nebo vygenerovat při dotazování na svá data. Možná vám následující příklad (na základě vašich původních tabulek a dat) pomůže najít řešení. Přečtěte si prosím komentáře v kódu.

Pokud - jak je uvedeno ve vašem komentáři - musíte uložit hodnotu do sloupce WOMAN_ACT (ačkoli je to zjevně "odvozená hodnota"), můžete napsat balíček, který obsahuje procedury pro všechny požadované operace DML - stále bez použití spouštěče. Bez znalosti celého příběhu je však těžké rozhodnout, zda by to byla nejlepší cesta vpřed. Následující příklad používá malý balíček obsahující procedury pro nastavení hodnot WOMAN_ACT tabulky PERSON a spouštěč, který se spustí po INSERTs/UPDATEs (tabulka:HISTORY_TRANSACTIONS).
